Cardblanche will be taking a hiatus from 1st June 2013

After 8 years of wedding stationery and numerous blissfully-wedded couples, Cardblanche is sad to say we will be taking a break from weddings and moving onto new challenges. A return in the future is not impossible, but at the moment, we regret to inform that we will not be undertaking any new wedding jobs. We thank you all for your support all these years, without you lovely couples, we wouldn't be where we are today.

Thank you and God Bless! :o)

Cardblanche x The Paper Stone

Finally the store is open. And I have little notebooks and file folders that bear my logo behind. It's a remarkable achievement I'd say, after months of working tirelessly on designs. Do come by the store if you can. And if you can't, do join the Facebook page to keep updated on new locations across town. Www.facebook.com/ThePaperStone

Helpful little elves

My kids helped with a delivery of wedding favours last weekend. It was so heartwarming that they tried their best to push something that weighed ten times of their little bodies. So cute. :)

Revealing soon

My secret project will be revealed soon. Shops opening in the western part of Singapore. Very exciting indeed. :)

Till then...

Exquisite Premium Favours

I got this today, from a client. They are quite possibly one of the best cookies I've ever eaten. Bittersweet and not cloying on the palate, I think it would be a perfect gift for your guest at a wedding. It won't come cheap though. Handmade and baked by a Le Cordon Bleu trained chef, who's also worked at Pierre Herme, I think it would be worth every penny to serve up such exquisite delights.

Would you want your guests to enjoy such gastronomic loveliness?

Glamour and Style

Thanks to L&D, I was given the privilege to do a full suite of stationery for a wedding. From invitations, to party cards, posters, table signage, and individually-placed menus, L spared nothing to have everything match in the most perfect way.

I also appreciate that they were very appreciative, and that they gave me creative freedom to do the various items. They are the most wonderful people, their little boy too, who crawled on the floor and tried to pick up scraps of paper.

Something exciting is coming your way...

I've been working on something exciting lately. And all I can say its been fun and very challenging. It would hopefully benefit many and make many very happy.

I'm also almost done with the new collection of wedding stationery but it has to take a backseat for now as I finish up the secret project.

Will reveal details soon...

A Vintage Affair

Long overdue post. Just wanted to share some pictures from a previous shoot done with Extraordinary Weddings. The theme was vintage affair, and it was floral, botanical and fluttery!

Villa Halia show - Lovebirds in Paradise

We've had the privilege to showcase our stationery at the Villa Halia show last August 2011. Sharing the stage with other lovely wedding vendors, we created a suite of Lovebird-themed wedding stationery to match the table setup. :)

Kites of Love

I was inspired one day to illustrate this design for an invitation card. Someone had emailed me a card of a man flying a kite, and I thought, why not a couple with their names engraved in the sky?

If you like this design, please come by and have it printed with Cardblanche so I can see it come to fruition. :)

The latest ribbons & bows

Here's a range of lovely invitations I've done recently with bows and ribbons.

Red and silver.

Red and purple.

Gold, pink and brown.

Thank You for your support

I've been greatly encouraged by the couples who have taken time to drop me a little message to thank me for their wedding stationery. Life feels a little better when you hear that the work you've done is cherished by the people who matter.

"Hi Allison, thanks a lot! The cards turn out really nice! Even chris likes them by looking at the pix. (=" ~ Christopher & Vivien
"Many thanks for the cards and envelopes! Everything was very well done and guests were most impressed by the quality of the cards and programmes." ~ Charlotte & Aaron
"Thank you very much for the fast and responsible job. They're very beautiful. I'll recommend my friends for you next time." ~ Thu & Tuan

"love it very much! Tq Allison!" ~ Justina & Desmond

And last but not least, I have to thank Jovelle & Indra for their enthusiasm and appreciation in the things I did for them. I am heartened to meet people like them. :)

Three months on

It's nearly three months since I've gone solo, running Cardblanche by myself. It has been a very busy time, juggling jobs and taking care of the babies at home. I try to do whatever I can when they are napping - emails, tying ribbons, folding stuff... And when I go to the studio I work as hard as can be. It's been somewhat fulfilling and gratifying that I can somehow do this on my own and be able to keep going. What makes it so good is when satisfied clients say thank you when they collect their stationery from me. I try my best to make everyone happy, and I do work hard for my money, so your appreciation really counts in motivating me to do what I love to do.

I must thank heaven as well, for guiding me. I'm always thankful for that. :)

A moment captured

A couple requested for their photo to be incorporated into their Thank You cards. We used the monogram that was on their invitations and integrated the design with their photo. Simple and sophisticated.

Do note we charge a small fee to touch up and enhance photographs for use on invitations etc.

Thermal Embossing

Whilst we don't feel that printing effects are truly needed to enhance the design of an invitation, this one here is something that would definitely impress and not in an over the top manner.

Subtle and sleek, thermal embossing involves having raised text in the colour that your invitation is printed in.

Printing effects like hotstamping and embossing are very traditional and common, so thermal embossing could be an option for you should you wish to add a unique touch to your invitations.

They require a minimum of 100 invitations, do email us for details.

A suite of blossoms

We've done our cherry blossom design for many couples, but what we love about this one is the cohesiveness of all the various items in the set, matched together perfectly.

There was an invitation, a reception card, and an info card with map.

We did a nice map with simple lines and markings. It's perfect for many directions in places like the UK.

Radiating in the Summer

Here's a perennial favourite - the "radiating" motif - in a yellow and a lime green colour scheme. Both exude summer warmth and excitement.

Lovebirds

We recently did these invitations featuring birds.

These are from our newest collection, and these couples had completely different colour schemes for the design. Both looked great!

Whilst the yellow and brown version is sunny and cheery, this navy and pink one is sweet and spring-like.

The adorable bird couple was matched by lovely calligraphed names.
